Each year the Petroleum Industry's Annual Safety Seminar provides stakeholders in the upstream petroleum industry with the opportunity to share successes network and bring innovative ideas back to their organizations. With a full agenda of safety experts, motivational speakers, social events and exhibitions the 2007 event promises to deliver even more value for your education dollars.

A committee with representation from organizations associated with the upstream petroleum industry shall be established to organize and manage a safety seminar.

The safety seminar, "Improving Safety Management", will be held annually. This seminar will be a tool to promote, encourage, and communicate safety and health to the upstream petroleum industry. Through this seminar, companies will be able to contribute as well as obtain information pertinent to the safety and health of their employees, contractors, and the public.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR WILL BE:

1. To provide information on all aspects of developing and maintaining a safety and health program.
2. To promote, recognize and support the use of the UPITFOS Guiding Principles for Worker Safety.
3. To enhance awareness of current safety and health issues.
4. To provide information on up-to-date technology, as well as current government regulations and legislation.
5. To allow industry-related safety, health, and training companies/organizations to display their products and services.
